We found a great little spot for the boys to do they first real dune riding, they did awesome.  It was great riding weather in the early morning (we were up at the backside crack of dawn) and if you kept moving the bugs had a hard time landing on you.  Really we had pretty much the entire dunes to ourselves and had we slept better we might have stayed longer.  All in all it was great.  Oh we say a fox and two jack rabbits, and caught a lizard.

This is how all our Quad trips begin.

We started with a dusk ride and we rode until it was getting to dark for us to ride (no working lights on any of our quads)

We caught a lizard during the dusk ride, and after dinner we went exploring in the dark.  The boys did a little dune jumping.

Next day started early.  After bacon and eggs we hit the trails and rode some places I have never been to before.  The we hit the dunes.

03 July 2010 Little Sahara Ride

One of the best rides of the year, so far.  Just the three of us made it out on this spur-of-the-moment ride.  Dan pretty much put this ride together at about 10:30pm the night before and I am so glad he did.  It was my first time taking the 2006 Honda TRX 450R out to the dunes, it performed better than I expected and took me absolutely everywhere I wanted to go.  We also had a Predator and KFX700 out all performed wonderfully.  We were surprised at the wonderful weather (probably mid 70s) and how empty the park was.  It was perfect!!!!

I want to go again soon!

New Paddles for the 450R

I just got a great deal on some paddles for the Honda TRX 450R.  Here they are:

These are the same Skat Track Haulers I have for the Raptor, just a little smaller.  Great condition will work awesome at the dunes.
